Hey man Hutch or Vodafone is a big robber, bigger than the biggest of robbers all over India. I had a balance of 178 activated sms service of 21 bucks only to get up in the morning and realize I have 7rs balance. If required they should just send a msg asking for some charity money nd I will give them, but dont like the idea of robbing. I am not crying for the money I spend more money on weed every month than mobile, but just hate the idea of theives especially people like Hutch or Vodafone.

I have found a solution.. first dial 111.. then select option 5 that says "lost sim card.......blah blah".. then they again give you many options.. but they will not announce what happens if u press "9".. that's d hit.. dial 9 and ur call gets transferred to customer care executive

The behavior is pretty erratic. One time I get a IVR telling about offers, another time I get the message that all hutch care executives are busy, and on trying later, I get an IVR asking for the kind of problem I am facing.
My SIM had been blocked and was asking for the PUK code - just now got it resolved after an interaction with customer care. But this trivial thing took 5 days of wait for me to get resolved. This is really shabby customer service.

Dont buy vodafone.Itis horriable service in the wold. I say with example. I got one message from vodabone to recharge 56 and get talk time Rs70. So I recharged 56 and got 70. After 1 day i got message you should have to use with in 2 days. How can I use these amount with in 2 days. They are not interst in the customer. It takes very little time and it will bring Vodafone to it's senses and make it stop harassing customers like this. If all of us start doing this, then we will get the basic standard of service required. It works!!

I was in Delhi for studeis, when I took 8 yrs back HUTCH connection it was one of the most costly service providers but connectivity was supposed to be much better., then 4 yrs back they automatically upgraded (IT WAS ACTUALLY DOWGRADING). my vodafone prepaid to postpaid, there was no way to argument I thought it would be better one.I was fooled by these bunch of idiots. Now. when I moved out of Delhi I have been paying vodafone post paid monthly bills for past 3 months without able to cancel the connection. I have tried to speak with them, if lucky I get to talk to customer harassing executive who does not know the answer or he has been told not to reveal or inform on how to cancel your postpaid connection. He says connects and we keep on listening damn vodafone ad tune and .. connection is last. With determination just to ask 'how to cancel my post paid connection' I had made 4 successful calls upto customer harassment officer but never able to get proper solution. I ended up with other unwanted options like safe custody, life plan post paid..

After dialing 111, a default IVR was being played then there is abousultly no further instruction to how to proceed furtehr but the call does not get disconnected. Then blingingly after waiting for 10-15 minutes on the call, I just tried my luck by keying in 1 then got another IVR and then selcted 1 again and then 9 to get in touch with executive. That was frustrating. But keep in mind, first dial 111 then 1>1>9 hope this helps you.

A Post Paid mobile No has been in use and was planned to be disconnected as the mobile user my son had left for USA. I happen to visit Vodafone Okhla Centre, near Rana Motors workshop during servicing of my car and had discussions and options to retain or discontinue the connection.
I, was guided to convert this connection as a Life Long Free connection by simply paying Rs.999.00. Further I was informed whatever is the useage I need to pay for that amount only. Accordingly on visiting Vodafone centre at Ansal Plaza, I got the connection changed after submitting a written request on company letterhead.
I, am sorry to inform Vodafone officials at Okhla tricked me by not informing full details as now i have been receiving bills asking me to pay CLIP charges.
Today I called customer care and got to know CLIP is part and Parcel of the 999, plan, and by simply tricking me and probably several lakhs of other users , Vodafone officials are outrightly cheating and tricking to generate revenue by any means. How fair Vodafone is in its dealing is to be evaluated by the Vodafone Management only.
May I request you to Reverse all the CLIP charges to my Vodafone No.
I, await your replies and expect strict action against Vodafone officials who are tricking and cheating with customers who assume they are being guided to the best.

Guys who are unable to reach the vodafone customer care executive, just dial 111 and press 4 (The buggers have very conveniently omitted that crucial piece of information from the rest of the phony crap you get to hear).
Today a friend of mine called me up and he was like "what the fuck is wrong with you? Why have you put such a stupid caller tune?" Trust me, I was shocked. And embarrassed. I find this entire caller tune thing very crappy. Within the next couple of hours I got a message from vodafone saying that they have activated the caller tune (some Dussehra special traditional bangla dhak!) and it'd be free for the first month and an amount of Rs. 30 would be deducted every following month.
And I had to probably look up a thousand places on the net to find out the way to connect to the customer care. And then the bugger who finally picked up could hardly speak/understand english and went on blabbering some Bullshit I just couldn't follow. Luckily, after struggling for like 15 minutes I could explain him my problem and he assisted me in getting the tune de-activated.
Vodafone sucks man. It sucks big time. But then, so does the others. What choice do we people have. Changing a connection is just like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. May be it's time we take legal action and pass on the message loud and clear that the one billion customers across this nation are not to be treated like a piece of crap any longer. It's time we get some value for the money we spend.

My name is Sandip Gupta and my vodafone no. is 9874337632, I have been a loyal customer of vodafone for more then 3 year including 2 years of postpaid connection on same number. But now I have lost all faith in the company itself.
Let me tell u my story, i have most of the time paid my bills on time but once i was upset with the high call rates thus decided to talk to the customer to find out some solution but i was given no option other then to change my service provider they said that you can only discontinue the vodafone services after your billing cycle is complete. If the executive on the phone wanted to help then he would sent me the final bill..... but dint just trying retain me. Then I tried not to pay my bills and get disconnected but instead they added the charges on the second bill with new date to pay charges. So i planned to pay my bills before the new last payment day. But I surprised to see that i have been getting messages to pay my bills before i make a call which is very annoying...... so if vodafone wants to disconnect me it should have done in case of first non-payment, why continue to give service with NEW payment date???
AND if given a new date for payment why being harrased...... thus I am very upset with the services and I want a full and final bill for my postpaid services.......
Not only that they charged me Rs. 120 for some downloading sevices (not as late fine or something) and a I am simpleton, I use a simple phone with no multimedia features how can i download something???(This has never happened earlier)
All i want is to get my final bill as soon as possible (dont want to wait for billing date) and conversion of the number back to prepaid account as I want to retain the number as its is very important or I will have to resort to not paying the bills.

The Worst Company I shall put in my top list is Vodafone. I carried a post paid no for last 4 Years, Shall have paid around 2 Lacs to them for calls I made. I wanted to convert it to Prepaid and Oh God the Company Executives were behaving so unprofessinal not to convert it. Initially they tried to convince, then said not possible and when insisted hard, they asked a series of documents and even after providing them, they took 10 days to start my no. All dues were paid and no dues was take in writing , and the Pre paid amount was paid...The phone worked for 1 day and even after having a reasonable balance, it was emperoraly disconnected. I moved to a another city (Mumbai) and was on roaming, tried contacting Vodafone care, they denied to help as it was a Rajasthan No. On contacting Rajasthan custoemr care at 9828098280, it says "This no is out of order" . This is for last 15 days and sitting in a roaming city, I am out of touch with my cell.
Bombay Vodafone does'nt help as my no is of Rajasthan and Rajasthan customer care no does not exists.
On pusuing hard with Customer care Bombay ..They gave a sweet advice to me: "Why done u go to your Rajasthan city , Jaipur ( 1100 kms from Bombay) and speak to Branch office there" Thanks Vodafone for such a lovely service to a 4 year old customer who has given u Rs 2 Lacs business . Till date my No 9983999888 is not working.

I have a Vodafone connection, ONLY for retaining the Number, I don't use the number and the fact last several months worth Rs.10/- or so were made that too by mistake.
However Vodafone activated Caller Tunes on this number without my consent and on asking them to Reverse the Charges for the last 4 months, the Customer care official Said - You should have called back and asked for NOT ACTIVATING the Caller Tune. The message sent by Vodafone was " We are activating Caller Tunes if not interested call back ". Hence in nut shell to Deduce the issue - They Activate something on the connection and Expect customer to know and then call back the customer care which is Chargeable to Stop the same. Is it not so Wonderful.

i accept that there is no proper customer care number...i was able to get connected by dialing 111 then 2 then 1 then 2 and got connected.

I had a prepaid vodafone number which was discontinued because I did NOT use it for 6 months. It was a lifetime prepaid connection with over Rs 400/- in it.When I went to your vodafone store at Sant Nagar, East of Kailash New Delhi, on 29th Nov 2010; they made me fill a form, took proof of identity & also a photo. Then they issued me a sim card & said I would have the old number reconnected in 48 hours. Its been a week since then, I have visited the store thrice, only to be told it will be reconnected in 24 hrs. When I went to your store in Palam Vihar Gurgaon, they told me that the complaint number I was given by the East of Kailash store was not a genuine number. Now I am extremely worried about the signed form they took from me along with my photo & residence proof. If they could give me a fake complaint number, they can missuse my personal details. Please help me by taking some action against this store. Thank You Utpala

I can't get through to the Customer care executive as well. after I press 9 it goes back to the main menu. I think its a problem with their system and they are too technically incompetent to fix it . none of the work around mention in this forum work. I tried all of them. Its been almost a week that I am trying to contact them on 111..... Man this sucks so bad I am going to change to some other operator.
tie customer service number is rediclus,i am trying it for a long time but the computerese answer which i am getting is only description of plans and not of customer service, Vodafone is pathetic,i will suggest all don't use this service.

1.CALL 111
THEY WILL TALK SOME CRAP AND IF U
DONT WANT TO LISTEN, PRESS ANY
NUMBER. THIS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE
MAIN MENU OPTIONS.
2.PRESS 2 OR 3(FOR 3G). BUT THAT
DOES NOT MATTER IF U WANT TO TALK
TO THE EXECUTIVE.
AGAIN THEY TELL U ABT SOME OFFERS
AND IF U DONT WANT TO LISTEN,
PRESS ANY NUMBER. THIS WILL TAKE
YOU INTO THE SUB MENU OPTIONS.
3.PRESS 9(U NEED NOT WAIT FOR THEM
TO FINISH JUST PRESS 9 RIGHT AWAY
AS SOON AS U HEAR THEM LIST OUT
THE OPTIONS.
4.PRESS 1 TO CONFIRM
AND THERE YOU ARE!!

I had some issue with my online recharge, so I pressed 1. which says "Balance and Recharge related" and I got connected to the CC executive. This number (198) is only for complaints and feedbacks to they route it direcly to CC executive..

I called 111 and followed 2,2,9 option to get through and then i get an agent who was stoned out of his mind ( of course on weed or as some would call it, ganja ) and when i asked, he claimed he is 'FIT' it was hilarious then, a min ago i was pissed at the level of difficulty to spk to an agent and then he said that i should just buy a new phone and that's the problem and for the echo and that my 3 month old blackberry cant process signal it seems and that i should buy 2000 rupee Nokia or NAAkia as he said it, eventually he just put me on hold and disconnected my call, i called back and this time i finally got some body better and by better i mean 'not stoned'.... i believe that these agents most likely are 7th std or 10th std drop outs and the English is sooooooo fucked up. if i had to score either of them on the call with me from 1 to 10 , 1 being the worst i am sure that i can find the strength in me somewhere to give them a '0' Vodafone u should just DIE. I really mean it.

tODAY i CONTACTED FOUR TIMES TO CC AND ALL TIMES THEY ASSURED ME THAT YOU WILL GET GPRS SETTINGS BUT IN LAST CONVERSATION ,EXE. SAUS THAT OUR SERVER IS DOWN AND WE CAN NOT PROVIDE THE SAME ,WHEN I ASKED HIM HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE ,HE SAID PL CONTACT AFTER 0600PM ,I ASKED HIM THAT I HAVE CONTACTED YOU FOUR TIMES ,AND ITS YOUR TURN ,YOU NOTE DOWN MY NO. They deducted Rs. 30 for a caller tune I did not subscribe to. The representative did not refund the amount back to me. Please do not go for Vodafone!
I have wasted more than 3 hours on 198 and 111 to connect with the vodafone customer care officials but all in vain.
